This Privacy Policy explains what information Daily Fantasy Market ("DFM", "we", "our", "us") collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using the DFM website, tools, and services (the "Service"), you agree to the practices described below.
Information We Collect
- Account information you provide when you sign up: name, email address, chosen username (optional), and a hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Google sign-in profile data (name, email, profile picture) when you choose the "Continue with Google" option.
- Payment information — processed and stored by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number. We retain the Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan, billing period end, and receipt metadata.
- Product usage: lineups you save, players you favorite, ESPN leagues you connect, and general navigation events.
- Communication preferences: email verification state, unsubscribe / opt-out flags, and last-login timestamps.
- Analytics: aggregated page views and interaction events via Google Analytics 4 (only after you accept cookies).
How We Use Information
- To operate the Service — authenticate you, deliver analytics tools, and personalize your dashboards.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
- To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, payment receipts, renewal reminders, injury alerts you have opted into).
- To send occasional product updates and onboarding tips (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To detect abuse, protect against fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
Third-Party Services We Rely On
- Stripe — payments & subscription management.
- Resend — transactional and marketing email delivery.
- Google OAuth & Google Analytics — sign-in and product analytics.
- ESPN, CollegeFootballData, and other sports-data feeds — used only to power on-screen research; DFM does not share your personal information with these providers.
ESPN League Connection & Encryption
When you connect your ESPN league, DFM stores the SWID and espn_s2 cookies you supply. These credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM and are only decrypted in memory while calling ESPN's API on your behalf. You may disconnect any league at any time from your dashboard, which permanently removes the stored credentials.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you logged in (secure, HTTP-only session cookies) and, if you accept, third-party analytics cookies. You can accept or decline analytics cookies via the on-screen consent banner and can change your choice at any time by clearing site data.
Your Rights & Choices
- Access & update: view or edit your account details from the dashboard at any time.
- Delete: request account deletion by emailing support@dailyfantasymarket.com. We remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.
- Unsubscribe: every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Transactional emails (receipts, password resets, security notices) cannot be disabled while an account is active.
- Export: request a copy of your data via email request.
Data Retention
Account and subscription data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations (typically 7 years for financial records). Product-usage data is retained for as long as it is useful to operate and improve the Service.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or via email. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
